It Me. I’m Concetta.

I’m so thrilled to finally launch this platform to share my love for cooking with all of you, near and far, so that y’all have all of my advice and suggestions in one spot! A little about me: I’m a 30ish year old cat-lover with a beautiful family. My husband, Destin, and I have a precious pup named Dino, a famous kitty-cat named Gerry (@princegerrycat), and two great bonus-kids, Carson & Leiv. We live near Galveston, which is a little island on the Gulf Coast of Texas. I was raised in The Woodlands, Texas, and graduated from St. Edward’s University.

Shortly after graduating, I ended up moving to Galveston, where my dad lives and started working at his spice shop while I pursued a career in the Medical Industry. I quickly realized that my passion for serving others was feeding people and God redirected me to where I am today. Now I run a spice shop/Italian grocery and deli with my Dad, Ron Maceo, where I share my secret recipes and favorite ways to use our products with our customers. I love having the ability to cook and cater for people on a daily basis, but what I love the most is the feedback I get when people use my recipes; Which lead me to this: Cooking with Concetta.

My beautiful and talented friend Liz Alvarado with Five and Two Marketing created and designed this website for me and I’m here for it. I didn’t go to culinary school, but I was raised in a Cajun-Coonass and Sicilian home, and in some of the finest restaurants on the Gulf Coast. I learned by watching, smelling, tasting and listening (and of course, occasionally writing down that information). I owe my talents to God, I thank Him everyday for these gifts. I am blessed to have spent time in the kitchen with some amazing people and I’m here to share it with you.

So, here we go. Come cook with me.

Stay Spicy,

Concetta

What’s Cooking with Concetta going to look like?

Great question. I’ll be sharing cooking videos, recipes, and updating everyone on what’s happening in my life and in my kitchen. I’m unrefined, I usually record live, and I get a little distracted sometimes. But, hey, isn’t that how life goes? One thing is for sure: I won’t share a recipe that isn’t legit. I love (90’s) rap music, cats, wine, makeup and being punny. Special guest appearances might happen. IDK. What I do know, Is that there are some random pictures of my precious family below.
